Road Line Marking Commercial Surface Lining in Cumbria, Northumberland & The North East
Line marking using a quick-drying, abrasion-resistant thermoplastic paint can be used to improve traffic flow, direct vehicles or pedestrians and reduce the risk of accidents. Marking out spaces properly also ensures you are complying with the latest DDA (disability discrimination act) requirements.
We are authorised to work on public highways and our road marking contractors also provide long lasting results on:
- School play areas
- Cycle paths
- Pedestrian crossings
- Raised step edges
- Walkways & bridges
- Warehouses & factories
How are road markings applied?
On larger highways, a dedicated road marking vehicle with computer controlled movement is used to apply the lines. Whereas on smaller surfaces a heated metal trolley with attached sprayer is operated by one of our skilled line painters.
Thermoplastic line marking paint is the most common material for high-traffic roads and highways, due to its hard-wearing and reflective qualities.
For extra visibility and surface friction, glass beads and titanium dioxide can be added to the paint to improve safety.
